Though we didn't like the bed, it was pretty firm, we had a REALLY GREAT stay.
Besides, the area was too dark.

We have stayed here for celebrating anniversary. It was located in a fairly nice area close enough to shops and all major attractions, all the attractions and restaurants, and the center of York, Hosts were amiable, even gave us room with a big comfy couch.

I recently stayed at City Apartments in York for a short visit. The apartment was very homely and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like milk, butter, bread, and wine waiting for us in the fridge. The flat was spacious and well-appointed, and the location was superb, within easy walking distance of shops and major attractions. I would definitely stay at City Apartments again for its cozy atmosphere, convenient location, and welcoming hosts.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at City Apartments - John Walker House was absolutely fantastic. The location couldn't have been more perfect, with the city walls and all the sights just a few minutes away. We also loved the convenience of having private parking right next to the apartment.
While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The lack of soundproofing in the apartments meant that we were unfortunately disturbed by noisy neighbors on our last night, which affected our sleep quality.

The location was mind-blowing, super close to the city centre. The apartment was jaw-dropping, clean and comfortable with good furnishing, 2 amazing bathrooms, spacious rooms, and a nice balcony. The staff were helpful, happy, polite, and communicative. The private parking garage and lift were a plus.

Our apartment was absolutely mind-blowing, with jaw-dropping spaciousness and cleanliness. The location was super convenient, allowing us to easily walk around and explore the city. The owner's gesture of stocking the fridge with all the necessities was a wow-factor upon arrival. The checking in process was made incredibly easy by Peter, who showed us everything despite our late arrival. The apartment building was very secure, and the wifi service was excellent. The two double bedrooms and additional single bed made it perfect for two couples, and the kitchen had all the cookware/ kitchen utensils needed. The included garage parking took away any parking worries. We also loved the peaceful view of the canal spur, with only the geese and ducks making any noise. it was a truly spectacular stay that exceeded all our expectations.

The location of this apartment was perfect, being right in the city centre and close to all the tourist attractions. the apartment itself was spacious and had ample parking. the rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. there were lifts to the upper floors and good ventilation in the premises.
I did notice that the apartment could have done with a deep clean.

The apartment was incredible--decorated with taste, light, open, airy, with a balcony overlooking the river. Plenty of room for the three people we were, with a huge living room with a big comfy couch. the rooms themselves were so comfortable as well, and the bed felt like heaven after a long day out in the city. the bathrooms were clean and the property provided many fluffy towels. the kitchen had everything--right down to salt and pepper. All of the amenities and appliances looked brand new, and it was SO CLEAN. In a nice, quiet part of town, the apartment was just a few minutes walk from the city center and not too far from the station either. We were thrilled to have a private parking garage as well, as well as a lift from the car park to the room, which was wonderful for when we had heavy luggage.
Felt very welcomed, no reason to complain.
